“Emergence” Ink and Watercolor on Paper, 2025
Part of her “Source Forms” series. This series is an exploration of that very tension between the spontaneous and the deliberate; a visual record of its own creation. It’s a map of the artist’s thought process, showing a dialogue between two opposing creative forces:
- The free-flowing, intuitive expression.
- The focused, intentional, and detailed response.
The meaning of the artwork is found in the balance and union of these opposites. It is a physical manifestation of her philosophy that intuition and intention are “equal and opposite” forces that, when combined, create a mysterious and balanced whole. It is not just a picture of a surreal landscape, but a landscape of a creative mind at work.
